Welcome to Baseball in Japan! I decided to start this website after my honeymoon trip to Japan and South Korea where we attended a few baseball games in the summer of 2023 (among other things). I immediately fell in love with the fan experience there. It was very family friendly, but also interactive and fun. The level of play was very high, but the players played as a team and played more “old school” baseball. And most importantly it was really neat to see a new culture and people so different than me just enjoying the same beautiful game on a summer night.

I started learning more about the leagues, history, and players, and was surprised to see that there really wasn’t much about the Japan league online apart from some Wikipedia articles and a few travel sites. So I decided to create a website dedicated to explaining the NPB in a simple way that anyone who likes baseball can appreciate.

My goal is to talk about the amazingly entertaining Korean league (KBO) after Japan and who knows – maybe even continue writing about other baseball leagues around the world.
